Gamers Used To Look Inarticulate

Interesting snippet from this MCV interview with Charlie Brooker. He mimed the bits in Gameswipe* where he’s supposed to be playing and talking to camera, because it’s almost impossible to play a game and be articulate at the same time. This did not reflect well on gamers in early TV coverage:

One of them says something like “Games are realistic and not realistic so it’s good to kill people but not think about killing them the next day”. Often gamers came across as inarticulate because they were being interviewed as they were trying to play a game. You can’t concentrate on both at the same time.
